She grew up writing poetry, sketching, riding horses and motorcycles, but not at the same time. She earned a Masters degree in Individualized Studies (Creative Nonfiction and Motherhood Studies) from Goddard College (Vermont). Jessie blogged for Elephant Journal and The Tattooed Buddha, but stopped to write a novel or two.
